Valora k kiosk shop with BackWerk range opens at TotalEnergies station in the heart of Berlin

Berlin 06.04.2022

Valora's shop concept has been introduced for the first time as part of a partnership at the TotalEnergies station in Berlin, at Prenzlauer Allee 4-5. From now on, customers will have access to an extended kiosk and convenience range from k kiosk, including the food service variety from BackWerk, in addition to the classic service station business with fuel and laundry. In less than ten weeks, the Swiss food convenience expert Valora succeeded in converting the service station shop. In this way, TotalEnergies together with Valora are meeting the growing customer demand for a multi-energy and service hub, offering a wide-ranging shopping experience at the service station.

"TotalEnergies is transforming itself from a classic service station to a multi-energy station in accordance with local needs. This will to transform is not only evident in our stations, but also in our new name - and therefore throughout the entire company. We now want to respond to the changing needs of customers at our service stations with experienced partners such as Valora and its brands BackWerk and k kiosk, thereby offering our customers added value," says Christian Cabrol, Managing Director TotalEnergies Marketing Deutschland GmbH.

Roger Vogt, CEO Retail and member of Valora's Group Executive Management, explains: "We have already successfully established our concept on the Swiss market and subsequently adapted it to the German market. We are very pleased to be working with TotalEnergies for the first time. In addition to the cooperation with a strong partner, the presence at an attractive location is also decisive for us. With TotalEnergies, both requirements are comprehensively fulfilled at the station in Prenzlauer Allee."

The k kiosk service station shop is modern and clearly laid out and equipped with a high-frequency counter, enabling fast shopping. In addition to a wide range of food and beverages, the assortment also includes TotalEnergies products. Another special feature in the shop is the clip-in by BackWerk, a Valora food service brand, where freshly baked goods and snacks as well as self-service coffee-to-go are offered daily. Customers can also find the opportunity to linger there, thanks to a seating area.
