TOTAL starts cooperation with LogPay Transport Services
Acceptance of the LogPay Card at TOTAL service stations in Germany
Berlin/Eschborn, January 27, 2020
From now on, LogPay Card customers can use their card to fill up and pay at all TOTAL stations in Germany. While TOTAL is addressing a new customer group through this cooperation, LogPay will benefit from the expansion of its card acceptance in the TOTAL network.
With almost 1,200 stations, TOTAL is one of the largest service station provider in Germany and is particularly caracterized by a high density of car and truck-friendly service stations along the motorways. TOTAL is also consistently expanding its range of alternative fuels such as CNG, LNG and hydrogen. With the establishment of a Europe-wide network of 300 stations of fast charging points along the motorways, TOTAL is also positioning itself with a powerful range of products and services to meet the growing demand in the field of electromobility.
LogPay Transport Services GmbH is a company of Volkswagen Financial Services AG. In addition to the Europe-wide cashless payment of fuels and toll services, the LogPay Card has also been enabling drivers of hybrid and electric vehicles to use over 20,000 charging stations in Germany since October 2019.
For André Courteille, Head of Fuel Cards at TOTAL, the acceptance of the LogPay Card is a logical step for the fuel card business: "A densification of the acceptance network is very important for the market. With the LogPay Card, we are opening up to a new group of customers who will immediately benefit from our nationwide TOTAL service station network, which is growing steadily throughout Germany".
Jens Thorwarth, managing director of LogPay, is looking forward to the cooperation with Total. "With TOTAL we have succeeded in winning another strong service station brand for us. This is a further step in our continuous network expansion. In Germany, our customers now have a nationwide network of filling stations and shops for passenger cars as well". In October 2019, LogPay has also entered the car business with the Charge & Fuel Card.
