Toll box PASSango Europa from TOTAL now also available for German truck tolls
TOTAL European Electronic Toll Service (EETS) box starts pilot phase in Germany
Berlin, June 16, 2020 – From now on, TOTAL Card customers in Germany can invoice their tolls via the TOTAL PASSango Europa toll box. After completing the tests, Total has entered the pilot phase for toll collection in Germany.
TOTAL PASSango Europa is already approved for toll collection in Western and Central Europe. In France, Belgium (including the Liefkenshoektunnel), Spain, Portugal, Austria, the Scandinavian bridges (Storebælt Bridge & Öresund Bridge) and now also in Germany, a total of more than 200,000 TOTAL PASSango Europa toll boxes are successfully in use. The application possibilities of TOTAL PASSango Europa will be successively extended to Italy, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland and Bulgaria. New toll areas are installed on the toll boxes over the air.
A decisive advantage of TOTAL PASSango Europa is the uncomplicated cross-border billing of toll charges in central European transit countries via the On-Board-Unit (OBU) produced by Siemens. TOTAL PASSango Europa can be used through a simple plug-and-play installation and offers a tight expenditure control as well as low administrative effort. A technical innovation is the geolocation service EuroPilot. It enables real-time fleet management, visualized route simulations, anomaly alerts and geolocated control of fuel transactions.
With TOTAL toll solutions, consisting of PASSango Europa and the TOTAL Card, toll payments can currently be processed in 16 countries and displayed on a single invoice.
