New Joint Venture in Bremen and Bremerhaven

TOTAL and Mühlenbruch Stinnes Merge Heating-Oil Business

Mühlenbruch Stinnes TOTAL GmbH, a joint venture between TOTAL Mineralöl GmbH (TMG) and Mühlenbruch Stinnes GmbH & Co. KG (Mühlenbruch Stinnes), commenced operations on July 1, 2018. With the new company, the two companies are merging their regional heating-oil business in Bremen and Bremerhaven.

The joint venture will be equally managed by TOTAL and Mühlenbruch Stinnes, a subsidiary of Petronord GmbH & Co. KG. In addition to the heating-oil business for private and commercial end consumers as well as diesel and AdBlue® for commercial customers, Mühlenbruch Stinnes TOTAL GmbH will also sell pellets, electricity, and natural gas.

The jobs of the 15 employees affected at the Bremen and Bremerhaven office locations will all be retained. In Bremen there was only a move within the city.

"With Mühlenbruch Stinnes we have found a strong partner in the region. Together we can continue to supply our customers with energy reliably and at attractive prices,” says Jan Petersen, Managing Director of TMG.

Peter Prien, Managing Director of Mühlenbruch Stinnes: "In general, everything remains the same for our customers: We continue to offer them high product quality and comprehensive service. Also the proven technical competence and the personal availability of the well-known partners of both companies is united in the Mühlenbruch Stinnes TOTAL GmbH.”

Managing directors of the new structure are Peter Prien and Uwe Rettinghausen, Sales Director End Consumer at TMG. The joint venture acts as a brand partner of TOTAL, so that customers can find both partners in it.
